Body-Mind-Health
This course introduces you to the concept that our thoughts and feelings may be associated with the body symptoms that we experience. We review some of a growing body of evidence to support this idea. This course may be insightful for any ongoing health complaint and in particular those dealing with stress, anxiety, and weight management issues. You will learn nutritional strategies and mindfulness techniques to improve your health and well-being

Student Instructions
Please bring a pen/pencil, note paper plus a morning tea and lunch snack. I will provide tea and coffee.

The following topics are covered:
- What is mind-body medicine?
- Review of research to support mind-body connections
- Review how certain health complaints may be correlated with thoughts and emotions
- Nutritional and herbal interventions
- Introduction to the concept of ‘mindfulness skills’ to help improve ones health and emotional balance

Teacher Bio
Lesley Bailey is a teacher, naturopath and counsellor who has worked in the complementary medicine field for over 12 years. She currently works as a Blackmores Naturopath and has a private practice in Worongary, Gold Coast Hinterland. Lesley has a passion for helping people create mind/body health and educating others about natural therapies and living a balanced lifestyle.
