AutoCAD level 3D

This course introduces you to the skills necessary to construct, modify and render complex 3D models. Various projects are used, and individual projects are encouraged. Prior courses of same level of knowledge are a prerequisite.

Entry Requirements

AutoCAD Intro or equivalent knowledge

Student Instructions

Pen and paper for note taking. It is the students responsibility to takes the necessary notes for this course. A Memory stick/USB flash drive for saving your work and taking your files home.

Topics

Working in the 3D environment, Creating Surface Models, Creating Solid Models, Modifying Models, Viewing Models, Applying Materials, Positioning Lights, Creating Scenes, Rendering and more.

Career Prospects

Advanced skills for Design Office, Drafting Office, Graphics, Visualisation and Virtual Imagery and for many other careers including Engineering, Architecture, Manufacturing and Presentation.

Delivery Style

Students will have individual computers and the necessary files. The teacher will demonstrate using an overhead data projector. It is the students responsibility to takes the necessary notes for this course.

Ability to use AutoCAD for complex 3D tasks that are sought after in many fields including Architecture Construction, Manufacturing, Presentation, and Virtual Imagery.
