eBay - the basics of selling

The course covers all the fundamental skills necessary to successfully sell items on eBay Australia’s online auction site.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Basic internet and e-mail knowledge (to register as an eBay seller you need to be over 18).
STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS: Pen and paper – the student guide is provided as part of the course material.
TOPICS COVERED: eBay History, Safety on eBay and on the Internet, Seller Registration, Getting Started, Creating a Successful listing, Monitoring and Maintaining your Listings, Getting Paid, Completing the Sale and After Sales Service.
CAREER PROSPECTS: This course is an ideal introduction if you intend to learn further and join over 2500 Australians who make a full time living selling items on eBay.
DELIVERY STYLE: The format of the training follows basically the topics set out in the eBay student guide with a PowerPoint presentation of the official eBay material. Live online demonstrations of the eBay Australia website are used extensively throughout the presentation. There is student computer access on the second night to provide hands-on experience of the course content. There are numerous opportunities for questions.
OUTCOMES: You will be able to: use eBay safely and effectively, do research and create listings that will attract buyers, set pricing that will maximise your profits, enhance listings with better descriptions and photographs, utilise listing tools and create multiple listings, open and use a PayPal account to simplify receiving payments, monitor sales to know exactly what’s working and what’s not, complete the sale, collect the money, post the item and follow-up.
