Garden Design
A complete workshop on planning your front and backyard garden. Create a garden of your choice to include either native, Mediterranean, English, and Balinese or integrated garden styling.
The course incorporates architecture, materials, plants, planting, irrigation and sustainability. We will develop a plan to turn your vision into reality. The workshop includes subjects such as vegetable gardening, composting, worm farming, water tanks, decks, pergolas, retaining walls, paving, lighting, garden sheds, water features, courtyard art, mosaics and sculptures.

Student Instructions
Please bring: *Scale drawing of your house block of land showing house, sheds, fences etc. with rough contours (highs & lows) fully dimensioned (or a drawing of your proposed garden design site). *Paper, pencil, coloured pencils, textas, note book and a scale ruler-
Topics
- Introduction – what and how we are going to do
- Survey – define needs – dogs, children, pool etc. Accessories to garden styles
- Compile survey into plan – plant restraints and pavers, retaining walls etc
- Individual Items – decks, pergolas, water tanks, features etc.
- Final plan – complete landscape garden design with planting list and all architectural materials required.
