MYOB Accounting Basics

This course will provide students with good understanding of Basic Bookkeeping and a solid data entering foundation in MYOB. It provides hands-on experience with a lot of practical exercises in MYOB. We will concentrate on Basic bookkeeping concepts, principles and terminology with practical examples in MYOB.

Please bring a blue or black pen, pencil and writing paper. Twin binder folder for manual. A Memory stick/USB flash drive for saving your work and taking your files home.

This course provides an introduction to the MYOB computer accounting package and may lead to a certificate course for those wanting a career in bookkeeping.

Delivery Style

An easy to follow manual with appropriate activities for each topic is used, together with MYOB computer software. Supplementary notes are provided by the teacher. This course is information based and designed to cater to a wide range of learner needs. It is predominately self paced with facilitator assistance.
Please note tutor may change due to unforseen circumstances.

NB: Delivery of MYOB at the Coomera campus will not be on TAFE computers. Students are required to bring their own laptop to work on. A student version of MYOB software to be installed on your laptop will be provided as part of this course.

Outcomes

By the end of the course students are expected to be able to understand the principals involved in using MYOB, to perform the necessary keyboard entries and to generate the appropriate financial reports.
