Recruitment skills for managers and business owners

This workshop is designed to provide hiring managers, and business owners with a structured interview process, helping them to improve their interview skills and make better hiring decisions.

During this session, participants will learn how to:

• identify the position requirements and prepare a detailed job description;
• prepare a job advertisement that will attract the right candidate;
• effectively short-list and screen candidates;
• develop targeted questions that address the job competencies;
• conduct a structured, behavioural-based interview;
• objectively assess and rate candidates’ responses and job suitability;
• conduct effective reference checks;
• make an offer and negotiate salary and benefit packages; and
• practise your interview skills in a mock interview.
