Bev Sullivan
I commenced art lessons within a group taught by Shelena Russell last year.
I can only express in the most heartfelt terms, how I valued her talent, her tutorial skill and inspirational manner have been motivating with my & my art. My desire to learn and try new teqniques and expand on my abilities has elevated. I meet with others from the group and find them all equally expressive of the impressions and enthusiasm Shelena has left them for their work.
Shelena is a fine artist but equally fine teacher this is as strong a commendation as I can offer.
Regards, Bev Sullivan – Since attending Shelena’s classes Bev is now selling her work and on the search for a re-seller
Julie-Ann Watkins
I really enjoy the art classes with Shelena. I have learnt so much, she has taken me to places with my art that I would not have been able to do before. As a teacher, Shelena gives me confidence to create some great works that I can be proud of and know that I myself have created a painting that is admired by those who see it. Shelena makes the classes fun, while giving us lessons in techniques that are easy to do and remember. I would never have had the confidence to do the human form in my nude, without the encouragement from Shelena. I look forward to Shelena’s classes, as it takes me to another world
Cathryn Graham
When I came across Shelena’s Gallery I had immediate appreciation for her vivacious diverse style so decided to enquire within about classes. Coming from a profitable photographic background myself I was interested in exchanging painting with light for the meantime to explore acrylic techniques on canvas and really see what this high achieving individual was all about.
To my excitement we were able to delve into a number of projects using different mediums where suited. I was like everyone else excited to go to every class because of the opportunity to get into a creative zone with other art enthusiasts from all sorts of backgrounds.
With a hands on teaching approach Shelena allows her students to do away with any fears or hesitations whilst advising techniques to achieve desired results. From this emerged an encouraging productive environment, lots of laughter and a great time. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone that would like to paint and has an appreciation for art.
