Basic Patternmaking and Sewing I (stretch)
Gain knowledge of basic pattern making for stretch garments and cutting and assembling the garments. You will learn how to operate the industrial overlockers and straight sewers that you will use to assemble your garments. During the course you will make 3 skirts of different styles and 3 tee-shirts of different designs that will team with each other or mix and match. Time permitting; you will be able to make a free choice outfit using the skills gained throughout the course.

NB: Covered / flat shoes MUST be worn.
Which fabric to bring will be discussed at the first class.

Basic Patternmaking and Sewing II (stretch)
Gain more advanced pattern making skills for stretch garments. You will cut and assemble these garments. Make five garments comprising tights, tracksuits, skivvies, hoodie and one garment of your choice that will team with each other to mix and match.

Completion of the Basics patternmaking and sewing course or equivalent knowledge required.
Student Instructions
NB: Covered / flat shoes MUST be worn. Please bring pencil, ruler, eraser, tape measure and scissors (to cut paper). You will also need to purchase the fabric required each week.

Embroider for Christmas
Embroidery and assemble a fun little christmas gift item for anyone in the family in this one day course, just in time for christmas. Home made jam/ preserve lid cover, gift tag.

Embroidery - Basic Machine Care
Basic machine maintenance to improve machine performance, how to keep up with the day to day maintenance between services. Where, when and how to clean, oil, set tensions and ensure great stitching from your machine whether it be an embroiderer or quilter or general sewer. Understand the difference in tensions required for embroidery and sewing.
