Do you know a chocolate addict??!! Mother’s day, birthdays and holidays present a great opportunity to create your own specially made bouquet of chocolates for the chocolate lover in your life, here’s how to please their sweet tooth as well as their eyes. Friends also realize that you had to put some time into making the gift, and to me, homemade with precious time equals a little extra love!

Things You’ll Need
- Ferrero Rocher Chocolates (as shown) or any other chocolates, eg: mini mars bars etc
- Colorful tissue paper depending on the holiday or occasion, and colored cellophane
- Mini floral Cardboard box or ceramic container
- Long thin sticks, lightweight skewers.
- Sticky tape
- Scissors
- Colorful ribbon or any decoration
- Oasis (a hard foam used by florists to hold flower stems in position)
- Ribbons
- Wire coat hanger
- String
- Candies in wrappers, 2–3 bags

Floristry I - an inspiring introduction
Calling creative people – this introductory course will include a basic introduction to flowers, accessories, designs and the tools needed for those with a desire to enter the Floristry Industry or the hobbyist. You will explore different ways to arrange flowers and create beautiful designs for your home or gifts for your friends and family. You will be amazed at your creativity when you are shown the principals by an expert in the industry. Information will be available to participants on the pathway to formal qualifications for those with a real passion for working in the wonderful world of Floristry

Student Instructions
Please bring a pen and note book. For the first lesson you will also need to bring cutters, a bowl/container and a bucket of assorted garden flowers and variety of foliage & leaves, (if your garden is bare, flowers can be purchased from suppliers/markets/supermarkets).
Each week you will be advised what flowers/foliage/containers and accessories to bring for the next lesson. The teacher will have available for you to purchase from her floristry consumables like oasis, tools and wire for the following class. Hand-outs will be provided at the beginning of the course

Floristry II - Festive christmas decorations
Prepare your house for Christmas without having to resort to store bought decorations.

Student Instructions
Please bring a pen and note book.
For first class select some/all of the following:-
- Secateurs or scissors
- Fresh Flowers – Your choice – Conditioned in bucket of water
- An example: Lilies, Carnations, Chrysanthemums, Orchids, Roses.
- Foliage from the garden (say 4–5 varieties).
- 1 x Attractive hardy branch, possibly pine, camellia..
- Pine, cones, berries, nuts.
- 1 x Block of oasis.
- Christmas Decorations
- Attractive solid container/vase to hold block of oasis.
- Satin ribbons/candy sticks or wrapped chocolates
- 20 or 22g wire.
At each class you will be advised on what flowers/foliage, containers etc. to bring for the next lesson however the teacher will have available for you to purchase from her floristry consumables like oasis, tools and wire and flowers for the following class. Costs will be approx $20.00 per class.

Floristry II - Modern Designs
This course will extend the floral artist in the community who have a basic understanding of flowers, plant material and design concepts. You will explore your creativity and incorporate other mediums to enhance the flowers you select. Inspiration for your designs will come from your surroundings and the endless textures, colours and contrasts from nature and the world we live in. Your garden will take on a whole new perspective as you explore your creativity and develop skills in floral designs.

Floristry II - Wedding Flowers
Special events and Weddings would just not be the same without flowers. Every bride wants her wedding to be a memorable occasion and flowers play a large part on the big day. Be inspired by your surroundings and master large formal arrangements for a particular venue, a church or create an outdoor setting for a special event. Learn the basics of wiring techniques and create a unique bouquet with all the trimmings. The flowers can be a simple or elaborate design depending on the type of wedding that is being planned. Get some great ideas in this step by step workshop on choosing your flowers, colour combinations and reception decorations.
