You will learn simple, practical tips such as installing rainwater tanks, building composts, mulched gardens and eliminating chemicals. They will learn to watch their balcony garden, permaculture food garden, native or cottage garden thrive as they learn to mimic nature.
Learn strategies for providing a year round supply of fresh herbs and veggies as home food production is one of the most effective ways to reduce the carbon footprint and buffer the home budget from rising food costs.

For first class select some/all of the following:-
- Secateurs or scissors
- Fresh Flowers – Your choice – Conditioned in bucket of water
- An example: Lilies, Carnations, Chrysanthemums, Orchids, Roses.
- Foliage from the garden (say 4–5 varieties).
- 1 x Attractive hardy branch, possibly pine, camellia..
- Pine, cones, berries, nuts.
- 1 x Block of oasis.
- Christmas Decorations
- Attractive solid container/vase to hold block of oasis.
- Satin ribbons/candy sticks or wrapped chocolates
- 20 or 22g wire.
At each class you will be advised on what flowers/foliage, containers etc. to bring for the next lesson however the teacher will have available for you to purchase from her floristry consumables like oasis, tools and wire and flowers for the following class. Costs will be approx $20.00 per class.

A complete workshop on planning your front and backyard garden. Create a garden of your choice to include either native, Mediterranean, English, and Balinese or integrated garden styling.
The course incorporates architecture, materials, plants, planting, irrigation and sustainability. We will develop a plan to turn your vision into reality. The workshop includes subjects such as vegetable gardening, composting, worm farming, water tanks, decks, pergolas, retaining walls, paving, lighting, garden sheds, water features, courtyard art, mosaics and sculptures.
